Fit is a Feeling ...

A wise sewing teacher once told me that "fit is a feeling, not a fact." Although I see the wisdom in that statement, I have to admit that I hid behind it for many years. That means that I did a poor job at fitting and the accompanying pattern alterations, sewing over-sized clothing that did not truly "fit" me at all.

Sewing & Stitchery Expo 2014

Posted by Susan Liane, The Smuggler's Daughter on 3/9/2014
It is hard to believe that it was a week ago that the annual Sewing & Stitchery Expo in Puyallup, Washington ended. A gathering of sewing celebrities, equipment manufacturers, magazines, pattern companies and so much more, this is the great grandmother of all sewing industry events. It is attended by people from all 50 states and several countries. With great fashion shows, seminars and an amazing tradeshow floor, it is impossible to cover everything that is helpful and informative that is going on in Puyallup, but here are the highlights for The Smuggler's Daughter.
